Smith Bros Meats started business in 1984 by two brothers, Randy & Charlie Smith, in Colby, WI  They started out as a fresh meat retail store and on-the-farm butchering service with complete processing services, including venison and wild game. In 1992, the company expanded into the wholesale business by traveling in a 50 mile radius supplying grocery and convenience stores with a variety of custom meat. Catering services were developed in 1996, that can serve up to 2,000 people. There is a variety of different catering menus for different needs.
